Brilliant! But the wording is just a tiny bit strange - for the segment of the diaspora that hails from the Doab region of Punjab!

How about translating "How I met your mother" into "Main Tuadi BeBe Nu Kidan Takarya"?

Exact word-for-word translations never work. They lose their impact. In most of these cases more imaginative translations or equivalents in natural Punjabi are required.

There was the old war movie (the name I can't remember). When the enemy attacked, a soldier told the other to duck. "Duck!" How would you translate that?. How about in "Third Encounter ...", when the aliens land, the dialog went like this: "This is not a 'drill' but a real thing". How about "Holy Cow"? Or the dialogue when a father kisses his daughter good night with the words, "Sweet dreams, honeypie."
