Humour

Holy Cow!

by KHUSHWANT SINGH (The Hindustan Times)

Whenever the BJP ("Bhartiya Janta Party") is in poor health, as it is now, it turns to its parent body (the RSS) for rejuvenation.

It is doing so today.

The following news item appeared in The Indian Express some time ago. It escaped my notice. I found it reproduced in London's Private Eye of May 29, 2009, in its column Funny Old World.

And I find it very funny:

"The acceptance of cow urine as a potent medicine is increasing day by day," Om Prakash of the RSS ("Rashtriya Swayyam-sevak Samaj" - National Volunteers' Organisation) told a press conference in Haridwar (Hindu ‘holy' city)," and a revolution is now underway.

"We refer to it as gau jal, or powerful cow water, and it has immense potential to cure various diseases. We have recently developed a soft drink formula, like Coca Cola, with gau jal as the base, and sent it to our laboratory in Lucknow for testing. Once it becomes available as a cold drink in bottles and cans, demand will definitely increase."

Prakash, who is the Head of the RSS's Cow Protection Department, insisted that powerful cow water cola could soon become a leading player in India's lucrative soft drinks market.

"Many colas currently on the market are harmful to the extent that they can be used as pesticides, whereas gau jal is not only natural, but cost-effective too. I have been involved in the promotional of bovine urine for four decades, and am proud to say it is now being used in the manufacture of everything from biscuits and toothpaste to soap and foot powder.

"And once we find a way to prevent the drink developing an unpleasant odour in the summer heat, gau jal cola will be further justification of the high stature according to the sacred cow in Hindu culture."

[PLEASE NOTE: The RSS are the ultra-right Hindu nuts who murdered Mahatma Gandhi in 1948, who claim that India is a Hindu nation, who want Hindi/Sanskrit to be the sole language of India, who want ALL Indians to declare themselves Hindus, and are now ready to give mankind this latest gift. Their party did "govern" India only recently, under the banner of "BJP" and hopes to come back to power soon!]

Save this cow ... please!

This same RSS glorifies Hitler in its corporate manual. RSS is the source of countless hate crimes and killings. They are up to their usual mischief claiming Sikhism is part of Hinduism. They should be declared a 'Terrorist' organization around the world.

Yeah, BJP/RSS are nuts. All political parties are nuts in India. But it is a dangerous, power-hungry, manipulative, murderous kind of nuts. Let's look at all the Muslims the BJP/RSS killed in Gujarat. Politics is poison. The BJP/RSS have made religion into poison. I don't think the Akali Dal should be associated with the BJP in any way and to any degree. I also wish to make one more point: Hardiwar is also significant to Sikhs because of the educational institutions run there by Nirmala Sikhs.

Surely, this is much too good not to follow to it's logical conclusion. "Holy Cow"? "Wholly Cow"! How much more natural and organic is another bovine by-product! Will we yet see the appearance of RSS Kebab stands, dotting the Indian landscape? It removes but one step between what goes in ... and what comes out!

The point this article makes is "moot"!

When will they realize that they are not doing any good for themeselves or anyone else? This cow-urine concept is an idiotic one ... I am sure it will go down like a super-flop movie.
