This is the most extraordinarily enlightening analysis of modern-day religion I have ever read. You've got me thinking. Thank you.

Hm-mm-m ... let me just say - God works in mysterious ways.

Wow! We got him now. Now let us see how He explodes into a big bang.

Brilliant!... and by an eerie or miraculous coincidence, a key player in the Hadron Collider project is a T. Singh too! Dr Tejinder Singh Virdee.

The term 'The God Particle' is a misnomer. Higgs himself is a non-believer. According to him: "It wasn't Leon Lederman's [Nobel prize winning physicist] choice to call it the God Particle. He wanted to refer to it as 'that goddamn particle' and his editor won't let him." Source: The Guardian, Thurs 5 July 2012, page 12.

More than likely a scam to get more public funding for this unending, pointless research and a Noble prize. It is silly to expect man to solve the mystery of the creation of the universe millions of years ago.

What a genius piece! Wow, how accurate ...

A thought-provoking, erudite piece that still leaves the electron whirling around in orbit endlessly in some quest. The wavering faith of those who ask, "If God is all powerful, why doesn't He have a stronger handshake?" The only rational attitude towards unknowable Providence that denies its believers and atheists alike. Thank God I am an atheist. Or, more lightly, find an answer to this one: "Did you beat your wife today?" You are doomed either way. If it is to be a particle, then the Gurus had the answer: "kinkaa ayk jis jee-a basaavai taa kee mahimaa ganee na aavai" [GGS:262.12] - "Even if a single particle of Wahegur's praise comes to reside in one's heart, that person's glory cannot be measured."

Guru Gobind Singh on God in Jaap Sahib, paurri 16: "Salute to the One who is without religion".

“The devil can cite Scripture for his purpose. / An evil soul producing holy witness / Is like a villain with a smiling cheek, / A goodly apple rotten at the heart. / O, what a goodly outside falsehood hath!” - William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice.
